CAREER CHANGE
See a work decision more clearly.
A career choice often combines money, identity, energy, responsibility, and uncertainty. Before asking for a reflection, write the decision in a form that can be tested: “What would I need to learn before I reduce my hours?” is more useful than “Should I quit?”
Bring three things
- The actual decision and realistic timing
- The constraints you cannot ignore
- Two or three options, including waiting where relevant
Use the result well
Use the report to identify questions for a budget, a conversation, a skills experiment, or a trusted adviser. Do not use it as employment, legal, financial, or investment advice.
