FICTIONAL SAMPLE

How a reflection report is structured

This is an invented example, not a result for a real person. It shows the scope of the product and does not predict an outcome.

YOUR QUESTION

“Should I keep a stable role while I test a small creative project, or make a larger change now?” The useful question is not whether one path is destined to win. It is what each path asks you to notice before making an irreversible commitment.

THE PATTERN

The sample cast is Hexagram 61, often translated as Inner Truth, with no changing lines. Here it is used as an image for matching private intent and outward action. It does not establish what will happen, what another person feels, or which choice is correct.

WHAT TO NOTICE

There are two different pressures in the question: the wish to make something meaningful, and the wish not to damage useful stability. Notice whether urgency comes from evidence, fatigue, comparison with others, or a genuine practical deadline. Separate the part that needs rest from the part that needs a decision.

THE DECISION CANVAS

What is known: the current role provides income and the project has not yet been tested with real users. What is assumed: more free time will automatically create momentum. The boundary: do not remove the income that protects essential costs before there is evidence. The experiment: give the project one fixed session this week and show a small result to one potential user.

OPTIONS TO TEST

Keeping the role can be a deliberate experiment if it includes a protected weekly block for the project. Reducing hours may reveal whether the project gains energy when time is available. Leaving immediately may be worth considering only after the financial runway, customer signal, and personal support needed for that choice are written down. Each option becomes clearer when its assumptions are named.

A SMALL NEXT STEP

For seven days, reserve one fixed session for a small project outcome that another person can see: a draft, a prototype, or a conversation with a potential customer. At the end, record what actually happened, what cost more energy than expected, and what information would change the next decision.

LIMITS

This report uses I Ching imagery as a cultural prompt for reflection. It does not determine career, relationship, health, money, legal, immigration, or mental-health decisions. This report is cultural reflection, not evidence about future events or medical, legal, or financial advice.
